Today, Wednesday, April 20 and tomorrow, Thursday, April 21 mark the last days to bid on the original head officially called the “Diamante Mau5head” autographed by deadmau5. This online event is part of a group of exclusive personal items and memorabilia artists and songwriters—including Katy Perry, The Beatles, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iron Maiden, Gorillaz, Sting, David Gilmour and Tinie Tempah—have donated to the EMI family charity auction to raise funds for the Red Cross to support people affected by last month’s earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The “Diamante Mau5head” can be bid on at http://tinyurl.com/3ktglg9. It has light wear and tear due to it being worn on the following occasions: Together As One gig in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2008; the 2009 Grammys on the red carpet; the “Ghosts n’ Stuff” video; and for the full tour in 2009 supporting his album Random Album Title(Ultra Music) released in 2008. The package also includes two VIP tickets for his Victoria Park concert in London on June 11, as well as a letter of authenticity, signed by EMI Music Canada.
All funds raised from the charity auction will be used towards the Japanese Red Cross disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Funds will be used for the ongoing provision of immediate relief to support the affected population during their recovery.
