At times words can not describe the feeling you get when seeing or hearing something incredible – it’s the exact feeling hundreds of people experienced this past Sunday night in Toronto when they saw Above & Beyond play their set live.

For those that don’t know Above & Beyond – where have you been? – they are an English trance trio who create some of the best trance and progressive tunes globally. Although that may sound bias their podcast Trance Around the World reaches 30 million listeners in 35 countries, and they have placed in the top 5 for the last 4 years running. They are viewed as some of the best DJ’s/producers with songs such as “Sun and Moon” and “No One On Earth”, along with various other songs that became huge festival hits.

I had the pleasure of seeing two of the three perform on Sunday and it was awe-inspiring. For those who listen to the podcast, they played a lot of songs off their label AnjunaBeats which kept the complex alive and happy for hours on end.  The sing-alongs were wonderful, the music was euphoric and the graphics and lightshow made everything memorable. At one point they explained how Zoe Johnston started crying while writing “Love Is Not Enough” and the room went wild.

The night itself was a huge celebration with Wolfgang Gartner and Adventure Club headlining in two other rooms for the Guvernments 16th Anniversary celebration. Above and Beyond tour quite regularly so if you ever get the chance I suggest you try your best to see them for a little Group Therapy.
