16 Bit Lolitas — SÜPERMÅRKT [Album Review]

June 21st, 2012 ⋅ Music ⋅ by Megan ⋅ 731 Views

Peter Kriek & Ariaan Olieroock, better known as 16 Bit Lolitas, will be making their return to the EDM scene with a brand new album released on June 22nd through their own Bits & Pieces label. ‘SÜPERMÅRKT’ features 11 original tracks and a standout remix of UNKLE’s ‘Money and Run.’

Blending the old with the new, SÜPERMÅRKT is a beautiful, post-modern manifestation of what happens when you combine vintage gear with today’s soft & hardware.  Moving between textured, sexy deep house melodies in tracks like ’Settle the Score’ (featuring the enchanting vocals of Lucy Iris) and darker, more experimental tracks like ‘Blanket,‘ 16 Bit Lolitas demonstrate a true dedication to maintaining personal integrity and honesty above all else. As Kriek & Olieroock described the making of the album, ’We try to move with the time, but never away from  ourselves.’

Available for exclusive download June 22 on Beatport.
