Famed musician Perry Farrell has accomplished many things in his long career. He helped to change the music industry and inspire millions when he became the frontman for his band Jane’s Addiction. As if that weren’t enough, he founded the famed festival, Lollapalooza which features many of the hottest acts regardless of genre (this year it includes the likes of Pretty Lights, Kid Cudi, Afrojack, Skrillex, and much more).
On the eve of the 20th anniversary of this event, Farrell released a new single from his electro collaboration with his wife. The project entitled PerryEtty is awesome and continues to show that Perry is cutting edge. He prides himself on being unique and in the first single entitled Applause For You, that sound truly comes out. Mr. Farrell you surely deserve applause for this one because this song is a club banger with an excellent use of the synths.
As a wholehearted early adopter of dance music, his forays into blending electronic beats and performance art with a little rock swagger long predated later hipster dance-rock crossover trends.

The song was released on Ultra Music on July 26th and was remixed by the likes of Junior Sanchez and Sonic C as well as the Bass Jackers (set to be released the 9th). This jam is sure to be played at Lollapalooza and get the crowds going, so grab a quick listen here before they play it.
